GRAND CHAMPION ADDEILO ROMANY TASSLE (13C1)

Here is one of the “Golden Greats” belonging to our Patron, Pam Collins, Grand Champion Addeilo Romany Tassle (13c1). His sire:  Snoshu Cabala Shaman, his dam:  Jewelleigh Fiara and he was born on the 29th of April 1992. “Tassle” is an excellent example of a Birman with his strong, broad and rounded skull, his almost round eyes of deep blue, his well spaced ears and his excellent substance and boning. Just one pure white glove is on show – the Birman characteristic hallmark!

His wonderful type and expression made Tassle very successful on the showbench where he won  11 CC’s, 4 GR CC’s and 1 RGR CC.  He also won Best in Show Semi-Longhair at the  National Cat Club Show in 1998.  His Breeder was Dawn Hall.

 He has proved his quality as a stud too, siring 13 titled cats including Grand Champion Admonlo Sebastian who was the club’s Best Seal Point Exhibit of the 2002 show season.




UK Grand Premier Hollymoon Rockafella (13c1)

Here is a picture of the handsome Grand Premier Hollymoon Rockafella (13c1), "Rocky" to his friends. His proud owners and breeders are Alistair and Trina Balharrie. Rocky has certainly flown the flag for Seal Birmans in the Southern & South Western Birman Cat Club - his successes are as follows:

 2000 Season: Overall Best Birman; Overall Best Neuter; Overall Best Male Neuter; Best Seal Point Exhibit; Best Seal Point Neuter;  and Best Seal Point Male Neuter

 2001 Season: Best Seal Point Exhibit; Best Seal Point Neuter and Best Seal Point Male Neuter

 2002 Season: Overall Best Male Neuter; Best Seal Point Neuter; Best Seal Point Male Neuter;

How has Rocky achieved this success ? Well, at shows around the country he has won a UK Grand Premier Certificate; 8 Grand Premier Certificates; 14 Reserve Grand Premier Certificates; 42 Premier Certificates; 3 Best in Show Semi-Longhair Exhibit awards and numerous Best of Breed awards – what a star !

Alistair and Trina Balharrie’s Seal Tortie Tabby Point – “Kissy”

This picture of Kissy was taken in the late summer of 2002, shortly after she gained her Champion title at the age of 6 ½  years.  She gained her Champion title in 3 consecutive shows, gaining CC & BOB at each and at the last show she also became BIS SLH exhibit (Wyvern). 

2002 Season – Kissy was the Southern & South Western Birman Cat Club’s Best Tabby Point Female

In total Kissy has won 3 Challenge Certificates, 4 Premier Certificates, 1  Reserve Grand Premier Certificate and was awarded Best In Show Semi-Longhair Exhibit at the Wyvern.

 

 

Champion & UK Grand Premier Laurant Lorenzo (13c2)

  Laurant, or,  "Lori" as he is affectionately known, has a fantastic temperament and has his devoted owners, Kathy & Barry Scarisbrick, well under his paws!  He was bred by Carole Flynn and is the fourth Laurant Birman to achieve UK Grand status.  Lori is only 4.5 years old and, although he has only been lightly shown since 2001, has 5 x BIS wins to his credit.  In 2001 he culminated his wonderful year by winning Overall BIS at the Birman Championship show as well as being the first Birman to gain Overall Best Exhibit at all four Birman Cat Clubs.

 His specific achievements at the Southern & South Western Birman Cat Club are:

·        2000:    Best Blue Point Adult, Best Blue Point Adult Male

·        2001:    Overall Best Birman, Overall Best Neuter, Overall Best Male Neuter, Best Blue Point

     Exhibit, Best Blue Point Neuter & Best Blue Point Male Neuter

·         2002:    Best Blue Point Male Neuter

GR PR MASCHENKA SHAMANDA (13c2)

 

This beautiful female was born on the 8th June in 1999. She was bred by Joyce Luscombe, her sire Chadanell Bluschenka and her dam Chadanell Skyeblu. Her proud owners are Julie and Keith Welch who love taking Shamanda to shows, groomed to the last hair, where she “wows” the judges with her gorgeous type and sweet, gentle expression. Her show career has been glittering and, as you can see, she well deserves her place in the Club’s Gallery of Fame.

In 2000 she won 7 Premier Certificates, 3 Grand Premier Certificates and 4 Best of Breed Awards.

In 2001 she won 9 Premier Certificates; 4 Grand Premier Certificates; 6 Reserve Grands and 4 Best of Breed Awards.

In 2002 she won 9 Premier Certificates; 4 Grand Premier Certificates; 5 Reserve Grands and 7 Best of Breed Awards. She was also Best in Show at the South Western Counties.

In 2003 Shamanda won 14 Premier Cerificates, 7 Grand Premier Certificates; 4 Reserve Grands; 9 Best of Breed Awards and was Best in Show TWICE – at the Celtic and at the West of England & South Wales Shows.

So, up to December 2003, Shamanda has won 39 Premier Certificates; 18 Grand Premier Certificates; 15 Reserve Grands and 24 Best of Breed awards – what a wonderful achievement !

SHAMANDA won the award for the Club’s OVERALL BEST BIRMAN in 2003 and 2004 – CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!

CHAMPION ADWELLO CONTIKA

 

Tika was not shown till she was 2 and a half years old!   Pam Collins looked at her and said we should show Tika. 

***It was also our first show*** !!!

Tika’s (and our) first show was an Exemption where she won her Open, was awarded BOB and all of her side classes !! Then we got the “Bug”!! 
She then went to the Southern Counties to “try her luck”, it was a very good day, she won 1st in the Open, CC and  BOB!  She then carried on to gain her Championship title in three consecutive shows!

At the Somerset Show, Tika went on to win 1st Open, CC, BOB, BOV and then  Best In Show!!!!! In total, Tika has 10cc’s and 3Reserve GCC’s; and many BOB’s.

With the Southern and South Western Birman Cat Club  Tika has gained

  • Overall Best Female Adult   2001/2002

  • Best Tabby Point

  • Best Tabby Point Female Adult

And with the Birman Cat Club she has won

  • Best Tabby Point Female (joint) 2001/2002,show season

  • Runner up Seal Tabby Point Adult

Grand Champion Admonlo Bluducati Rocco

 

Our handsome boy was born on the 23rd May 2001. Rocco started his Show Career at an Exemption show as a kitten, winning his Open and BOB. We then took him to the Southern Counties where he won 1st Open, BOB and BOV !  Then at Bristol, after having a red card day and being Nominated for BIS he entered his first show as an Adult and won 1st Open,  CC and BOB. At the Somerset he gained 1st Open, CC,  BOB and BOV ! He was made up to Champion at the South Western Counties also winning the BOB. At the Cambria, Rocco gained 1st Open, CC, BOB, BOV and  his first GRCH certificate at his first try and a red card day! He gained a RESERVE GRCH  at the Wessex in  2003, also 1st in the Open, the CC and BOB.

Then  we let him have a year’s  rest, he was  not shown  again till his first show of the season  at Kernow  on the 7th April 2004 where he had a red card day, 1st Open, CC,  BOB,   the GRAND challenge and winning  all his side classes – what a wonderful day for Rocco!

With the Southern and South Western Cat Club Rocco has gained:

      Best Tabby Point Adult       

  Best Tabby Point Male Adult

2005

 Rocco won His Open gained BOB and won the  GRCH class making him up to a GRCH at the Kernow  2005this year and he also got Best Tabby Point  Adult” and Best Tabby point Male Adult for the second year running with the S&SWBCC

Rocco is owned by Sue & Pete White, who are justifiably proud of their beautiful Birman Boy.

 

 

 

Champion Bluducati Rockonannie

 

 

 

 

Bluducati Rockonannie was born on the 9th September 2002. She was sired by  our own Champion Admonlo Bluducati Rocco  and her  dam is Champion Adwello Contika

 After a great kitten career, winning 3 Firsts in Open Classes, 3 Best of Breeds and 3 Best of Variety’s, Annie’s first show as an Adult was at the West of England where she went on to win 1st  in the Open, CC and BOB!

 She repeated this success at the South Western Counties Show and then she went to the “Supreme”, gaining 1st in her Open, CC, BOB and then Best of Variety Semi-Longhair, thereby  gaining her Championship Title and her first  Grand Challenge Certificate too !!!!

Annie has since won 1st in her Open, BOB Reserve GR CC at the Southern Counties Cat Club in 2004.

With the Southern and South Western Birman Cat Club Annie has gained

  • Best   Tabby Point Kitten.  2003/2004

  • Best Tabby Point Female Kitten

  • Best Tabby Point Female Adult

Annie’s devoted owners and breeders are Sue & Pete White.

 

GLENPETER ROMANZA (13C2)

Glenpeter Romanza (Zac) was born on 11th May 2003, he was unbeaten as a kitten, winning the Open on seven occasions in the Seven shows that he was entered, these included the Supreme and National Cat Club Shows .At his second show at the Wyvern Cat Club in September 2003 he achieved his first Red Card Day and Best of Breed.  He has won Best of breed on two occasions, one of which was at the Supreme, awarded by Mrs Mary Kalal.  He also won the Patrioona Cup for Best Blue Point Male Kitten at the Birman Cat Club Show.

With the South & South Western Birman Cat Club, Zac has gained

Having only been breeding for three years we are very proud of Zac, as in his short life he has achieved so much, the house is full of silverware. He is such a big boy but has a soft heart and a lot of affection to give.

Since becoming an Adult, Zac has continued his success,  winning his First CC at his first Adult Show  - The Surrey & Sussex Cat Club Show in March 2004. 

GRAND CHAMPION ADMONLO SEBASTIAN (13C1)

Sebastian was born on the 9th April 2001, his father was the famous Grand Champion Addeilo Romany Tassle and his mother Galameer Imperial of Love.

 

Sebastian has not been seen on the show bench since his original owner, Tom Greenlaw, emigrated to Australia at the beginning of 2004, and his new owner was not interested in showing him. Now Sebastian is owned by Diane Seymour and she is pleased to say he will be returning to the show scene shortly to meet up with friends and admirers old and new!

Sebastian enjoyed going to shows as his CV shows! He has achieved:

Chamption Esaya Highlander - "Connor"
 

Our beautiful red boy Connor was born on the 15th April 2003 , bred by Audrey Saye, the Sire Champion Esaya Wispa Surprise and  Dam Esaya Fleur Defeu. Although he did not start his show career until 9 months old he stormed through his first year becoming Champion after his first four shows, during which he gained:

 13 CCs, 2 Gr Reserves, 3 Best of Breed, 2 Best Red in Series

Congratulations Connor - what a wonderful year.
